The Saints threw together a lineup with only 10 players in the dugout and it showed as Austin put up two runs in the second and 12 in the third to take a quick 14-0 lead after three innings. In the third, Austin sent 18 batters to the plate as they scored 12 runs on eight hits, four walks, two hit batters, and one Saint error that resulted in only two of the 12 runs actually being earned. The Saints managed to score twice in the sixth and scratched out six hits in the game, led again by Tom Kemper, who was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Aaron Rocheleau was 1-for-3 with a run and Luke Schumer and Steve Newman were 1-for-3 with an RBI each. Rocheleau took the loss on the mound.
After getting down 14-0 after five innings, the Saints were able to score two runs in the top of the sixth. Rocheleau reached on an infield single, Kemper reached on an error, and Brent Schloe singled to load the bases. Schumer grounded out to score Rocheleau and Newman singled to score Kemper to end the scoring. The game was called after seven innings due to the 10-run rule.
