On Sunday, the Saints' bats went completely silent as they managed just two hits and six base runners against Blue Earth, ending their 13-game winning streak. Brent Schloe had a double, run scored, and an RBI to lead the team while Luke Schumer had the other hit and Nate Swan scored the other run. Blake Cheeley picked up the tough loss on the mound with 8 2/3 strong innings. He allowed all three runs on six hits, three walks, and he struck out four.
Blue Earth scored two runs in the top of the first to take a quick 2-0 lead, but the Saints came back with two in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 2-2. Swan walked, Schloe doubled to score Swan, and Schloe scored on an error off the bat of Ryan Stark. The game remained scoreless until the top of the ninth when Blue Earth got a two out, RBI single to take the lead and end the scoring at 3-2. The Saints went out in order in the bottom of the ninth to end their season.
