Game Summary

The Saint Joseph Saints fell 6-3 to the Cold Spring Springers on Friday night in a Lakewood League game at Springer Park.  The Saints managed just six hits in the game and stranded 14 base runners.  Ryan Stark and Charlie Carr both had two hits and Stark had an RBI to lead the offense.   Blake Cheeley picked up the complete game loss on the mound.

Cold Spring scored two runs in the third and three more in the fourth to jump out to a quick 5-0 lead.  The Saints finally scored in the fifth after Stark was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score Steve Newman, who had singled earlier in the inning.  The Saints added another run in the sixth when Charlie Carr scored on a wild pitch to cut the lead to 5-2.  Cold Spring responded with another run of their own in the sixth to end their own scoring and the Saints added their last run in the ninth when pinch hitter Eli Stenman scored from second on an error.
