On Saturday, the pitchers were the story of the game as both teams managed just five hits each. Brent Schloe led the Saints by going 2-for-4. Chad Schwegel picked up the complete game shutout victory on the mound, his second of the season, as he scattered five hits, one walk, and struck out 10 batters in the game to improve to 9-0 this summer.
The Saints scored the game's only run in the bottom of the sixth with a little "small ball" when Aaron Rocheleau doubled to the left center gap, Brent Schloe grounded out to second to move Rocheleau to third, and Luke Schumer's sacrifice fly to center was just deep enough to score Rocheleau.
