Game Summary

On Sunday, the Saints took advantage of seven Sartell errors and solid pitching from Blake Cheeley to beat the Muskies.  Offensively, the Saints had just seven hits again, led by Aaron Rocheleau and Brent Schloe, who both finished 2-for-5 with a run scored.  Jason Wald also had a hit, two runs scored, and two RBIs and Luke Schumer scored two runs.  On the mound, Cheeley went seven strong innings to pick up the win.  He allowed two runs on four hits, two walks, and struck out five.

Sartell struck first with a run in the top of the first inning to take a quick 1-0 lead.  However, the Saints came back with three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead.  Rocheleau led off with a single and Schloe singled him over to third on a hit and run play with Schloe being thrown out at second advancing on the throw to third.  Rocheleau then scored on an error off the bat of Schumer, Ryan Stark walked, Wald singled to load the bases, Andy Schneider reached on a fielder's choice that forced Schumer at home, but kept the bases loaded, Steve Newman walked to score Stark, and Charlie Carr was hit by a pitch to score Wald.  Sartell added a run to cut the lead to 3-2 in the top of the fifth, but the Saints responded with two more runs in the bottom of the inning.  Schloe singled and went to second on a wild pitch, Schumer walked, Stark Walked to load the bases, and Wald's ground ball to shortstop was bobbled and then thrown away to score both Schloe and Schumer and give the Saints a 5-2 lead.  The Saints added their final two runs in the bottom of the seventh after Schumer reached on an error for the fourth time in the game, went to second on a passed ball, went to third on groundout, and beat the throw home after Wald's ground ball.  Wald went to second on a wild pitch and then scored on Andy Schneider's single.  Sartell added a run in the ninth to finish the scoring at 7-3.
