On Sunday, the Saints played flat in a game that didn't really matter for their playoff situation and a loss to the Titans resulted from it. The team managed just seven hits in the game, led by Dan Scholand, who finished 2-for-5 with his first home run of the season and two RBIs. Brent Schloe also homered for the Saints and Blake Cheeley took the loss on the mound.
The Saints fell behind 2-0 after one inning of play and trailed 5-0 after five innings before they finally got on the board in the sixth when Schloe homered to right. The Saints struck again in the seventh with two more runs after Craig Hern reached on an error and came around to score on Scholand's home run to left. However, that was all the scoring both teams would do and the Titans prevailed with a 5-3 win.
