Game Summary

In the first game, the Saints rallied late to tie the game at 4-4, only to lose in the bottom of the ninth on a high fly ball hit perfectly between two outfielders with two outs and a runner on second.  The Saints didn't help themselves much at the plate either, only managing five hits in the game.  Aaron Rocheleau led the team by going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.  Scott Sand pitched well as he was victimized by some tough luck, but picked up the complete game loss.

The Snappers scored in the top of the first for an early 1-0 lead, but the Saints responded with two in the top of the second to take a 2-1 lead.  Luke Schumer reached on an error, Rocheleau doubled Schumer to third, Paul Schumer singled to score Luke Schumer, and a fielder's choice off the bat of Chad Hockemeyer scored Rocheleau.  The score stayed that way until the fifth when the Snappers scored three times on five straight hits to take a 4-2 lead.  However, the Saints rallied for two runs to tie the game in the top of the seventh.  Danny Scholand reached on an error, Jason Wald was hit by a pitch, Brent Schloe reached on a fielder's choice/error that ended up scoring Scholand, Luke Schumer bunted Wald and Schloe up to second and third, Rocheleau reached on a fielder's choice that resulted in Wald being thrown out at the plate, but Schloe later scored on a wild pitch to tie the game at 4-4.  The game was tied until the bottom of the ninth when the Snappers scored the winning run to take the game 5-4.
